Pneumonia vaccine reduces childhood illness

A Vanderbilt Medical Center study has found that routine infant immunization with pneumococcal vaccine has caused a 39% fall in pneumonia hospital admission rates for American children under 2. The study also found that pneumonia admissions for 18-39 year-olds also fell after infant pneumonia vaccinations began. Click here to read more about this new study.
