The students meeting on the steps of the Parthenon aren’t there to take a break from classes. They’re part of Sociology 218: Tourism, Culture, and Place. In this class students spend the semester exploring the cultural, economic, and social impacts of tourism. Though the students do their fair share of reading and research, this class rarely meets in the classroom. Read more about this unique course offering at The Tennessean.
